Natural Acne Treatment: Which is more effective?
I wonder about the natural acne treatment. Are there other effective options?

Response

Many natural acne treatments are available, including diets, creams, dietary supplements and herbs. Some argue that these therapies are useful in the treatment of acne, but most have not proven effective.

Although the evidence is limited, some natural acne treatments may be useful to reduce inflammation and reduce acne outbreaks.

Tea tree oil. Some studies suggest that gels containing 5 percent tea tree oil are as effective as lotions containing five percent benzoyl peroxide, although the tea tree oil might work more slowly. For some people, tea tree oil may cause a skin reaction known as contact dermatitis. There is also some concern that topical products containing tea tree oil may cause breast growth in young men. Do not use tea tree oil, if you have rosacea, it can worsen symptoms.

Male Facial Hair

Men and women can often commiserate when it comes to removing unwanted facial hair. For men, shaving becomes a daily task, even for those of us that we all or some of our facial hair grow (I have a goatee).

For women, facial hair can be more of a stigma than men because the facial hair on a man is not uncommon in most cultures. As new hair removal technologies come on the market, we have at our disposal more effective methods of dealing with unwanted facial hair.
