In these time we started talking about hepatitis, an infection or inflammation of the liver. Highlight its main symptoms and signs to recognize the disease and how to prevent it. Today we’ll hepatitis E.

Hepatitis E is similar to hepatitis A since the infection also occurs through fecal-oral contamination. Hepatitis E is most common in underdeveloped countries, low social economic status and poor hygiene as the main route of transmission is fecal contamination of water for human use and consumption.

Hepatitis A

In these weeks we started talking about hepatitis, an infection or inflammation of the liver. We also stress its main symptoms and signs to recognize the symptoms. Today we will begin to see the different types of hepatitis.

While hepatitis A is a short-term illness that goes away completely. It’s the type of hepatitis that most affects children. The virus remains in the faeces of people who have contracted the infection, hence the importance of washing their hands after using the toilet.
