Allergies Caused by Food

A food allergy occurs because of an abnormal hypersensitivity reaction, which originates from taking or eating a certain food.

In children under four years, the most common allergies are caused by foods such as eggs, milk, shellfish, nuts, citrus and tomatoes. In adults this is less common allergies.

The person before having an allergic reaction to food, must be exposed to the food at least once. Allergic symptoms happen the second time the person eats the food. This time, the antibodies react with the food, histamines are released, giving the reactions. (more…)

Diarrhea

diarrheaWith respect to diarrhea, if your child has an episode of diarrhea without vomiting or fever and is in good spirits, that is, that this episode is not altered, it can implement a diet like the one below:

  • rice cheese.
  • polenta with cheese.
  • Chicken or beef or grilled or baked, no seasonings or fat or skin.
  • dietary gelatin.
  • grated apple or ripe banana ride.
  • hard cheeses.

If the child has several episodes of diarrhea, or diarrhea accompanied by vomiting or stomach pain (cramps) it is necessary to call the doctor decide whether it is necessary to assess hydration status. Also good news is that episodes of diarrhea before one can see if it is accompanied by fever, vomiting, before any of these symptoms consult immediately.
