Benefits of melon in the diet. Melons are a food rich in vitamin A contributed by the beta carotene it contains; the body converts these flavonoids and converts it into Vitamin A, which is also an excellent antioxidant.

There are different types of melons, such as orange flesh, some yellow, some varieties of greenish color. Besides having Vitamin A, contains Vitamin C which helps collagen formation, ideal for skin and scarring, as well as for muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

The melon has high amounts of vitamin B; the most prominent is the pyridoxine (vitamin B6), which is essential to regulate the nervous system. In sum is a natural source of vitamins, with which we can prevent many diseases.

Iron and manganese are also present in this fruit, which are essential in preventing anemia and to help the formation of bones, including the lack of manganese can cause sexual disinterest.
