Indigestion or dyspepsia is characterized by aches and pains in the abdomen attached.

You can have different origins but the most common cause is poor diet: overeating, eating very fatty foods, take a peak stress while eating, etc..

Indigestion symptoms are:

  • Pain and discomfort in the upper abdomen
  • Abdominal sounds exaggerated

When the body has insufficient iron stores may suffer from iron deficiency anemia, which causes a decrease excessive red blood cell so that body tissues do not receive adequate oxygen.

This is the most common form of anemia, it is known that 20% of women of childbearing age, 50% of pregnant women and 3% of men have an iron deficiency.

As in a previous article we have discussed, this substance is obtained through foods and the use of old red blood cells. When iron deficiency blood oxygen transport is not necessary that triggers a cellular malfunction.

Hemolytic anemia is a disease characterized by an insufficient amount of red blood cells because of the destruction thereof. It happens when the bone marrow can not counter this massive annihilation with an increased production of the same.

Can develop two types of hemolytic anemia and these are distinguished as the place where the condition occurs, if it’s inside the red blood cells called intrinsic factor and if they are not called extrinsic factor.

Certain infections, medications, autoimmune diseases, or hereditary factors can trigger hemolytic anemia.

In these time we started talking about hepatitis, an infection or inflammation of the liver. Highlight its main symptoms and signs to recognize the disease and how to prevent it. Today we’ll hepatitis E.

Hepatitis E is similar to hepatitis A since the infection also occurs through fecal-oral contamination. Hepatitis E is most common in underdeveloped countries, low social economic status and poor hygiene as the main route of transmission is fecal contamination of water for human use and consumption.

In these weeks we started talking about hepatitis, an infection or inflammation of the liver. We also stress its main symptoms and signs to recognize the symptoms. Today we will begin to see the different types of hepatitis.

While hepatitis A is a short-term illness that goes away completely. It’s the type of hepatitis that most affects children. The virus remains in the faeces of people who have contracted the infection, hence the importance of washing their hands after using the toilet.

Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, a kind of irritation or infection of the liver. The liver is the most voluminous viscera of the body, and one of the most important in terms of metabolic activity of the organism.

When the person has hepatitis, the body is affected and can not properly perform its functions. There are many cases of people who have lived with the disease for years without knowing it and then discovered the damage the disease has caused in the liver.

In today’s world the influence of mass media in the population is impressive, especially in the lower age groups. Obviously the item of junk food does not ignore this, and the amount of advertising that is displayed on television in this respect is enormous, especially at times when children watch television.

This happens on a global scale, of course, but in some countries the authorities are aware of the situation and decide to take action on the matter. The case of England is one of them.

This country is a very strange happening. Due to the overwhelming amount of advertising material on the junk food that is passed via TV, the Labor Government has decided to send a warning to restaurants with serious bans junk about it.

World Diabetes Day

Today is not an ordinary day for the world of health. This Nov. 14, as every year, takes place on World Diabetes Day, which has been celebrating since 1991.

Who established the World Diabetes Day were the World Health Organization (WHO) together with the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), organizations that have chosen this date in response to the birthday of Frederick Banting, a scientist who along with Charles Best contributed to discovery of insulin in 1922.
