We have already spoken in here about vegans, a stream of vegetarianism which advocates avoiding the use of dairy products, eggs and meat, in short, any food of animal origin. I have always considered this type of “food quirks” a little unfounded and unnecessary, although I must admit that enjoy great popularity among people today.

There is another strand in vegetarianism, and if I seemed radical vegans and capricious, children belonging to this current cause me the same feeling but much larger. These are fruit bats (or fruitarian), a current food advocated that consumption of fruit.

Normally when a person says that is usually associated with vegetarian eating habits to the absence of feeding animal meat. However, as we all know, this perception is wrong because the majority of people are vegetarian veganism, and tolerate in your diet products of animal origin such as eggs and dairy, as its name.

Specifically, if we talk about vegetarianism in the strict sense we should refer to veganism, a practice that is a total abstention from eating foods that have any kind of animal origin.

The vegan has permeated the whole philosophy of life that implies respect for nature and animal rights, in addition to defending human rights, and, although it derogatory, in my opinion, no longer a postmodern practice unnecessary without any strength.
